Kapi‘olani Medical Center for Women & Children is well recognized as Hawai‘i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 207! beds and 66 bassinets, the nonprofit hospital is Hawai‘i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is also a tertiary care, medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency care, neonatal and pediatric air transport and children’s specialty clinics. With a dedicated team of more than 1,300 employees and 604 physicians, the hospital is home to Kapi‘olani Women’s Center, Kapi‘olani Breast Center and Kapi‘olani Women’s Cancer Center, the state’s only dedicated breast health and gynecological cancer centers. Kapi‘olani offers numerous community programs and services, such as the Kapi‘olani Child Protection Center and Sex Abuse Treatment Center, and through our affiliation with the University of Hawai‘i, we are home to the John A. Burns School of Medicine Pediatrics and OB/GYN residency programs.
The Kapi‘olani Pediatric Resource Hospital Trauma P! rogram coordinates a variety of clinical tools to provide mult! idisciplinary care to pediatric patients who have suffered medical trauma. Its staff plans, organizes, coordinates and evaluates all aspects of the trauma service, including delivery, performance, prevention, public education, training and continuing education, with the goal of building and strengthening a Pediatric Trauma Resource Hospital.
As the Coordinator of Clinical Services at the Pediatric Resource Hospital Trauma Program, you will have the opportunity to help young children and their families who have suffered traumatic experiences by overseeing the daily operation of the department. You will implement and track the effectiveness of programs, plans and policies designed to enhance the quality of patient care services. In coordination with the Trauma Medical Director, you will organize and evaluate all aspects of the Trauma Service, including its delivery process, performance improvement, prevention and education. We are looking for someone with outstanding! communication and organizational skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai‘i’s people.

Minimum Qualifications: Current Hawai‘i Registered Nurse License. Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Current certification or certification within 6 months of hire in American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Pediatrics Advanced Life Support (PALS), Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN). Three (3) to five (5) years of clinical experience in pediatric critical or emergency room care.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in Pediatric Trauma.
