On private funds, part-time with possibility of becoming full-time, annually renewable depending on performance and/or funding, to begin approximately September, 2013 subject to position c! learance and availability of funds.
Duties and Responsibilities
Teach medical students, residents, post-doctoral fellows and community physicians on clinical pediatrics.
Handle pediatric clinical attending and graduate education programs.
Participate in the development of academic curriculum, clinical practice and special instructional materials.
Perform pediatric evaluation of newborns, infants and children.
Educate and provide support to patients and families by promoting optimal health, safety and development of children.
Serve as a resource person in their area of specialization and give lectures or conferences/colloquia upon request.
Engage in research, clinical administration or comparable scholarly activities.
Serve on University committees.
Perform related tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
M.D. degree from a medical school of recognized standing.
B! oard certified (within 7 years) or an active board candidate f! or certification in Pediatrics
Must have current Hawaii Medical License or be eligible for Hawaii Medical License.
Demonstrated potential for teaching/research/scholarship.
Demonstrated ability in patient care.
Poise and good address for meeting and conferring with others.
