Executive Industry Consultant [Germany]


 

Responsibilities:
Hexagon’s Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division (Hexagon) is seeking an Executive Industry Consultant.

As all industries move forward with a digital transformation specific to their engineering and process, it’s important to get this right in industries with major capital asset projects. Also, as OPEX (the plant/facility operations) lifecycle is much longer than the CAPEX lifecycle, applying the concept of the digital twin to operations represents a major change and optimization of operations. Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence is increasingly involved with OOs in different industries to capture and maintain up-to-date digital twins for brownfield plants/facilities. Also, is extensively engaged with EPCs to support digitalization of their capital projects execution processes, providing a continual chain or digital thread through the project from initiation to final handover, incrementally building a virtual representation or digital twin of a facility. These implementations are becoming more complex because of higher integration of their processes & data deliverables or because of their global aspects (driven by global OOs or EPCs). Hexagon participates not only in their contract bid phase to determine the software solution, but also during their contract delivery phase to design and deploy an overall solution ensuring the correct integrated data deliverables through Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, Operations & Maintenance (EPCCOM) processes, supported by project performance process. Leveraging industry experience of working with OOs and EPCs is key to ensure the maximum use of the Asset Lifecycle Intelligence software in EPCCOM lifecycle of capital assets. In this context, we act as an advisor delivering business consulting to overcome business challenges, ensuring optimum software solution delivery and digitalizing assets to EPCs and OOs. Whilst the ALI projects will be in EMIA, this may mean working with companies worldwide as well as working closely with the teams in the Americas and Asia-Pac.

The Industry Consultant will work with Sales, Sales Enablement, Project Managers, Technical Leaders and System Integrators to run complex digitalization proposals & projects from feasibility study through design and development to production. More specifically:

  • Confidently and articulately speaks in public and acts as a workshop facilitator.
  • Works with customers on a strategy to define the outcomes that make up success.
  • Provides input to marketing for messaging and targeted advertisements.
  • Works with customer senior management to determine long-term goals by analyzing the client’s business and making recommendations for changes and improvements.
  • Defines digital transformation roadmaps for customers.
  • Generally has expertise in a specific industry and service sector and has strong skills in key technology areas.
  • Viewed by customers as a consultant.
  • Actively and regularly meets with and presents to clients.
  • Keeps a pulse on the industry segment they are responsible for.
  • Acts as a contributor and/or lead for market development game plans.
  • Participates in the Go-to-Market (GTM) ideation and development process.
  • Contributes to the scope of content of proposals and scopes of work (SOWs).
  • Works closely with solution consultants to develop meaningful customer presentations and demonstrations.
  • Identifies and documents product gaps and market needs to improve marketability.
  • Performs standard solution demonstrations.
  • May undertake a billable role executing projects in the later stages of selling and early stages of implementation.
  • Advises the sales and volume sales teams, supporting them with qualifying leads and opportunities and discussing the best strategy to approach opportunities.
  • Works with marketing to build thought leadership.
Qualifications:
  • Engineering or Business Degree with experience in Engineering & Construction or Operations & Maintenance segments.
  • Significant experience in minimum two of the three following areas:
  • 1) 5 -10 year working in complex projects.
  • 2) Extensive knowledge of EPC or O&M business processes in process, power or marine industry.
  • 3) Efficiently presenting Enterprise level solutions with enterprise architecture background.
  • Experience with business process definition & re-engineering.
  • Experience with CAD or Information Management Hexagon Asset Lifecycle Intelligence or equivalent competitor software products implementation into large organization.
  • Ability to collaborate with a diversity of customer or internal actors to address business challenges and important issues and overcome them.
  • Ability to provide leadership to a small / medium implementation team.
  • Familiarity and conceptual understanding of Cloud software architecture.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and foster customer relationship.
  • Effective communication both written and verbal.
