Description: Kamehameha Schools is currently interviewing Teaching Assistant, CBECE 'A'apueo right now, this position will be presented in Hawaii. Instructional: Assists in daily classroom instruction including appropriate interactions with students, small group instruction, observations and assessment. May! substitute for the teacher when teacher is absent. Supervision: Supervises student behavior independently and under teacher direction using appropriate early childhood behavior management techniques, and following early childhood health and safety guidelines. Program/Clerical Support: Provides program and clerical support through planning snack menus; making home visits with teacher; maintaining attendance and other records; ordering and maintaining materials and supplies. Classroom Preparation: Prepares materials needed for a safe and healthy indoor and outdoor classroom environment, including preparing snacks daily, sanitizing serving and eating areas, and maintaining classroom centers, materials and equipment. Staff Development: Achieves and maintains CDA or higher level ECE certification. Participates in KS workshops and in-services. Attends training and is current with technology.
Position Requirements
- Have good interpersonal skills with chi! ldren and adults.
- Able to organize a high volume of v! aried work activities.
- Able to lift children up to 30 pounds.
