Project Manager

The Lactation Network is seeking an experienced Project Manager who will lead, coordinate, and manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring the successful delivery of project deliverables within established timelines, scope, and budget. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external vendors to drive project success while fostering effective communication and collaboration. This role will have the opportunity to establish best practices and processes in project management.

Breakdown of the role
  • Project management (80%). Apply previous experience and organizational techniques to effectively manage all aspects of a project from initiation to completion. Your primary goal in this role is to deliver successful project outcomes while optimizing the use of resources, time, and budget. You will bring a combination of technical skills, leadership abilities, communication, problem-solving, and adaptability to multiple projects stemming from the Product and Technology team that impacts the entire organization.
  • Develop standard processes (10%). Design standard processes that cover key areas such as scope management, time management, resource allocation, risk management, and communication. Document and communicate new procedures and tools.
  • Team administration (10%). Provide essential administrative support to the Product and Technology team, enabling effective communication, organization, and coordination of tasks. Perform administrative tasks on behalf of the entire Product and Technology team by managing team SharePoint, tracking vendor expenses, and coordinating team meetings.
What you’ll do
  • Initiate projects by defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, team roles and responsibilities
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, tasks, and milestones
  • Coordinate and manage project resources, tasks, and activities to ensure timely execution
  • Monitor and communicate project progress and KPIs
  • Monitor project expenses and track against budget
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Engage and communicate with stakeholders, team members, and vendors
  • Implement processes to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards
  • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, or resources
  • Set up and manage project documentation
  • Complete project closure by facilitating lessons learned and archiving documentation
  • Establish best practices in project management processes and tools
  • Track and manage vendor expenses
  • Coordinate and manage off-site team meetings
  • Document team meeting minutes as needed

  • 3+ years working as a project manager
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and leadership skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address project challenges effectively
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in MS Office software, including Outlook, SharePoint, Project, Excel

  • TRAVEL: This position requires occasional travel to non-customer sites in North America (roughly 10%)
