The Production Coordinator will coordinate the day-to-day production operations of the department, carrying out supervisory responsibilities such as organizing, planning, and completing work as assigned by management.

Responsibilities:

• Complete PO Updates/System Updates in SCM and communicate any New PO’s Issued/PO Revisions to Vendors.
• TOP Approvals-(Physical TOPS and Documents) Shoes and Handbags
• Manage and update PRODUCTION STATUS REPORTS/WIP daily and follow up on submits/samples as needed
• Prepare and manage shoe fittings:
  • Measure samples and organize/prep previous comments
  • PULL and prepare all samples(create sample list for fitting based on samples received)
  • Lead the fitting
  • Organize shoe fit comments in shared folder
  • Send Fit comments to vendors in a separate FIT email
• Communicate with Logistics/Vendors as needed to confirm on time delivery and make sure required documents are received and updated in MVE
• Run On time delivery reports for handbags and shoes and communicate and Issues/changes to Manager and Buying Teams
• Communicate daily with overseas offices and vendors to resolve issues and follow-up on production process
• Resolve color, fitting, trim, packing, delivery, and production quality issues
• Manage margin to target, extensive cost negotiation with suppliers, counter sourcing
• Work closely with the Buying team to ensure vision of product is achieved during the sourcing process
• Communicate skills to partnership with product development, merchandising, design, and overseas production
• Manage on time delivery
• Coordinating and communicating any exceptions clearly with manager, the DC, and appropriate partners
• Push vendors for Weekly Production Status Reports
• Build and maintain a strong team relationship with vendors and internal departments
• Collaborate with vendors to execute company’s business and production capacity plans, ensuring that company’s buying needs are met
• Ensure products are executed pursuant to copyright, global labeling, testing compliance, and sizing laws
• Additional tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• BFA or BA in Fashion Merchandising, Busines, or related field preferred
• Must have 1-3 years of production experience
• Must be proactive and possess the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Must have exceptional organizational skills
• Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be able to prioritize and maintain a high level of accuracy doing multiple tasks in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Knowledge of manufacturing non-apparel/accessories and other categories; socks, hosiery, hats
• Must have strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

ADDITIONAL DATA

The salary range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to position offered and work experience.In addition to your salary, Forever 21, and its affiliated brands, offers a benefits package, including 401(k) plan, overtime pay, flexible work schedule and a generous employee discount program (all benefits are based on eligibility).
