We are looking to hire an Administrative Assistant in Vernon, CA. This is a contract to hire opportunity to join our customer service department.

Job Summary: The Front Desk Admin Assistant at Grain Craft is responsible for providing exceptional administrative support and customer service to internal and external stakeholders. This role serves as the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and employees, and plays a key role in maintaining an organized and welcoming office environment.

Job Duties:

  • Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and employees in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Manage incoming calls, route them to the appropriate individuals, and take accurate messages when necessary.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all visitors and callers, addressing their inquiries.
  • Verify and maintain accurate records of purchase orders and invoices.
  • Handle any issues or discrepancies related to orders or deliveries.
  • Track and follow up on orders to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Assist with various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, photocopying, and document preparation.
  • Manage and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and packages.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a front desk, administrative, or customer service role.
  • Familiarity with purchase order creation and procurement processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Vernon, CA 90058: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
