Area of Responsibility:

  • Supervision of all operators in the pre-measurement, formulation, cooking and packaging process for manufactured goods to be made on their designated shift.
  • Ensuring team is ready and able to meet daily production
  • Knowledgeable and competent in the technical operation of all mixing, cooking, and packaging equipment and will relieve production associates when absent or on lunch as required. Ensures the packing and kitchen area are being maintained appropriately
  • Fulfills Production prepping needs at the beginning of the shift and when there is down time
  • Ensures all machinery is functioning correctly, through the inspection of all Quality Control focus areas, materials, products, and containers at each step of the packaging and cooking process
  • Ensures production and work orders are completed accurately in the computer production/inventory system to meet business guidelines
  • Performs daily assessments of work area and addresses opportunities to meet business and customer expectations
  • Assist with the client Research and Development process as assigned
  • Completes beginning and end of shift paperwork and ensures production, inventory and cleaning logs are completed by the end of the shift
  • Attends to scheduled production meetings and/or huddles
  • Assist with training of cGMPs and and creation of SOPs and ensures training logs are up to date
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment and assists with cleaning duties assignments

Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Cannabis, food manufacturing, and or pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus
  • Candidate must be a self-starter, flexible to work in a collaborative structure and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Computer, mathematics, language, and reasoning skills
  • Previous, experience in a production/light manufacturing environment preferred
  • High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to follow instructions and guide the production team
  • Ability to work in a group environment and ask for help when needed
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Stand/walk for a majority of shift and push/pull/lift large containers weighing using hand dollies, pallet jacks, or other mechanical aids as necessary
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive motion, clutch, lift, grab, bend, stoop, push and pull with no difficulties, be on feet during work shift, and clearly communicate issues
  • Familiarity with Production and Manufacturing procedures a plus
  • Basic weights and measurement skills, ability to operate a scale
  • Must have the ability to focus on a task for long periods of time, and have strong attention to detail
  • Ability to repetitively use hands, wrists and forearms
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work late nights and weekends when needed
  • Must adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethic codes (Attendance Policy, Dress code Policy, Etc.)
  • Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (gloves, shields, masks, lab coats, Etc.)

  • Overtime (daily and weekends)
