Data Coordinator - AIM Clinic - Columbia

As Data Coordinator for the Internal Medicine & Associates (AIM)—an academic practice serving over 75,000 patients annually—you will be responsible for the data management of various projects and initiatives within the practice (data abstraction and aggregation, data entry, data cleaning, and reporting) designed to help improve and optimize access, volume, as well as quality of care. You will also be responsible for working closely with the practice’s scheduling team on operationalizing template strategies and patient outreach as needed, in support of our practice quality improvement projects. In addition, as someone directly overseeing our practice data, you will work closely with the practice administrator and Clinical leads in creating and monitoring reports that are mainly focused on access and provider empanelment.

Preferred Criteria

  • Master of public health or related field.
  • Formal educational training in computer science or related field
  • Experience in conducting statistical analyses using SAS, SPSS, or R.
  • Familiar with quality improvement (QI) methodologies.
  • Experience with Epic
  • Strong SQL programming background and data visualization programs (e.g., Tableau).

Required Criteria

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Formal educational training in computer science or related field
  • Proficiency in documentation within electronic information systems
  • Working knowledge of various office and database applications
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
  • Desire to exceed expectations and highly motivated individual
  • Strong SQL programming background and data visualization programs (e.g., Tableau).
