Associate Director, Donor Relations Operations [United States]

When you join the External Affairs team as our Associate Director, Donor Relations Operations, your will elicit and grow philanthropic support for UCLA Anderson through excellence in fund management, reporting and analysis.

The Associate Director, Donor Relations Operations ensures that all gifts are structured, monitored, and utilized in a timely manner that reflects the donor's intent. The position collaborates with Anderson development officers and UCLA External Affairs to write gift agreements and establish donor funds, and with Anderson Business Office to ensure appropriate management of those funds. The position analyzes data to improve outcomes of all aspects of the development office, whether crafting the best invitation list for a purposeful event, selecting and segmenting the donor pool for effective solicitations, or analyzing the results of our latest annual giving campaign.

This role reports to the Sr. Director, Stewardship and Development Operations, and also works with colleagues across the department to enhance the donor experience.

Required/Preferred

1. Minimum of five years of demonstrated experience and progressive responsibility as a professional donor relations officer with strong knowledge of the principles and practices of development within a complex research university setting.

2. Superb customer service approach with well-developed interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with colleagues and build and sustain lasting relationships with a wide variety of internal and external constituents.

3. Ability to manage, evaluate and interpret analytical, statistical and financial information, think strategically and generate creative solutions for reporting, training and overall best practices of the development and stewardship programs.

4. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft suite of applications, as well as familiarity with other database, spreadsheet, scheduling and email applications; willingness to learn new programs and applications as needed.

5. Outstanding organizational skills and proficiency in prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely manner and on deadline with a demonstrated track record of process improvement.

6. Demonstrated project management skills with careful attention to detail and accuracy.

10. Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

11. Demonstrated proficiency in Blackbaud CRM or equivalent development database and the use of databases to generate reports is preferred.
