POSITION SUMMARY
This position must have knowledge of all types of Subgrade Finish Blade work (Municipal, Commercial, Federal Government, and DOT) as this person will be responsible for the supervision of their Subgrade Preparation Crew along with performing other various duties on RME construction projects as needed. The Foreman handles the majority of aspects related to equipment and personnel management on site. Make decisions pertaining to production on a daily basis. Work alongside estimators, operations, operators, laborers, inspectors, and testing firms, and must have the capability to train operators and manually complete any activity

- Mentor, train and work alongside crews, operating equipment- making grade +/- 0.1ft and or performing general labor work to complete construction projects safely and within contract requirements
- Prepare and submit daily timesheets, progress reports, code receipts and invoices, or track change of conditions that impact contract cost and scheduling
- Plan, organize, or direct activities concerned with the construction or maintenance of structures, facilities, or infrastructure systems
- Implement new or modified plans in response to delays, bad weather, or construction site emergencies
- Requisition supplies or materials to complete construction projects
- Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site
- Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with environmental regulations
- Investigate damage, accidents, or delays at construction sites, to ensure that proper procedures are being carried out
- Meet the requirements under FMCSA for a qualified driver to operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle which include Part 391.11 Subpart B (b)(2) "Can read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records". (CDL NOT required)

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience
- Some experience creating, working within and/or administering an assigned budget, preferred or ability to learn same.
- Five plus years related experience
- Demonstrated success in managing employees and/or leading a crew
Certificates & Licenses
OSHA 30-hour course or completion of the OSHA 30-hour course prior to the start of employment. Federal OSHA 30-hour Construction course completed within 5 years of the date of hire, or completion of the course before starting employment with ESI and CPR/First Aid Safety training, or completion of the certifications prior to employment.
