Immediate vacancy is temporary and requires Direct Care.

Duties Summary:
Responsible for providing professional nursing care and treatment services to patients, as well as directing the work of nursing assistants. These assignments are subject to continual review for conformance to professional nursing standards and may be made to all clinical services of the institution or to a particular nursing area (e.g., psychiatric, medical-surgical, pediatrics, etc.).
For ! positions located at the Hawaii State Hospital
, the ! State's in-patient psychiatric facility for the chronically mentally ill, incumbents for
direct patient care
positions provide general duty nursing care while assigned to one or more clinical services of the hospital.
Non-direct patient care
positions involve at least one of the following: Staff Development, Utilization Management, Quality Improvement, Infection Control, or Risk Management.
NOTE:
Applicants applying for Direct Care and Non-Direct patient care positions within Hawaii State Hospital must be able to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:
Hawaii Registered Nurse License:
Applicants must possess a valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Hawaii.
