Description: Kamehameha Schools is hiring Registered Nurse (Call On) right now, this position will be delegated in Hawaii. For detail informations about this position opportunity please give attention to these descriptions. On Call to Staff/ Dorm Advisors for medical advice for students/staff that are ill or injured. Available to come in to Hale Ola if a student will need to be evaluated for further treatm! ent. Assesses and treats students and staff within prescribed guidelines and instructions from the Nurse Practitioner. Consults with the Medical Director on physical findings and treatment plans. Refers students to specialized health resources for treatment (i.e. Private Medical Doctor, Emergency Room, etc.) Implements treatment plans within prescribed guidelines and instructions from the Nurse Practitioner and this includes dispensing medication, and providing ongoing treatment. Determines disposition of students (as to return to dormitory, sponsor, private medical doctor or overnight admission Provides health education to promote wellness and preventative health care. Maintains infection control and safety standards in the workplace. Provides health education to promote wellness and preventative health care. Communicates with other medical services facilities, parents, and staff regarding student’s healt! h status (diagnosis, treatment plan and disposition).
! Position Requirements
- More than 5 years related work experience OR, at least one to two years of direct experience in an acute care/urgent care facility in Emergency Room, Pediatrics or Family Practice. - Good interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, parents and staff. - Ability to work independently and have excellent assessment skills. - Must enjoy working with children and adolescents.
