Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is well recognized as Hawai'i's leader in the care of women, infants and children. With 207! beds and 66 bassinetes, the nonprofit hospital is Hawai'i's only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is also a tertiary care, medical teaching and research facility. Specialty services include intensive care for infants and children, 24-hour emergency care, neonatal and pediatric air transport and children's specialty clinics. With a dedicated team of more than 1,300 employees and 604 physicians, the hospital is home to Kapi'olani Women's Center, Kapi'olani Breast Center and Kapi'olani Women's Cancer Center, the state's only dedicated breast health and gynecological cancer centers. Kapi'olani offers numerous community programs and services, such as the Kapi'olani Child Protection Center and Sex Abuse Treatment Center, and through our affiliation with the University of Hawai'i, we are home to the John A. Burns School of Medicine Pediatrics and OB/GYN residency programs.

Our team of speech language pathologists works to help infants, children, ad! olescents and adults reach their full potential in mobility, c! ommunication and daily living skills. They work with people who have difficulty producing speech sounds, such as rhythm and fluency problems, stuttering, voice disorders, cognitive communication impairments, or simply those who wish to improve their communication skills. The department's integrated program involves highly trained specialists that may include audiologists, speech-language therapists, occupational therapists and physical therapists.

As the Speech Language Pathologist, you have the opportunity to bring the gift of speech and rehabilitative speech therapy to patients suffering communicational challenges. Specifically, you will provide speech-language services and consolation for inpatients and outpatients as medical center locations and contract sites. We are looking for a compassionate individual who will provide excellent patient care and communication skills and is committed to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.
