Pediatric and OB/GYN program, Kapi'olani has a highly trained
transport team of nurses, respiratory therapists and physician
specialists that share a special understanding of pediatric
population. The Transport Team provides services to
p
atients for a higher level of care by transporting via fixed
wing or ground transport from a referring facility to an accepting
facility.

Registered Nurse - Transport provides professional nursing care
through assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and
documentation of patient care. Functions independently as a team
member during inter-island air and ground transports. Takes on
expanded leadership functions to include monitoring quality
improvement and cost containment.

Requirements
Minimum
Qualifications:
Must meet education requirements for HawaiÂ'i
! state
licensing.
Current HawaiÂ'i RN license.
Current BLS/HCP
card.
Current PALS or PEARS, NRP, and ACLS
certification.
Three years clinical experience including
two years in neonatal or pediatric intensive care or equivalent
combination of education & experience.
Obtain
successful completion of KMCWC transport orientation
program.
Preferred:
BachelorÂ's degree in
nursing or related field.
Transport experience.
More than 2 years experience in PICU and/or
NICU.
