The CarterUnit atKapi'olani is a pediatric unit dedicated to the care of patients frombirth toapproximately 6 to 8 years of age. The experienced team in the Carter Unitprovide care including complexmedical surgical care, medically fragile children and restorativecare,telemetry, cardiac monitoring, oxygen therapy, chest tubes, traction,Bi-papventilation, apnea monitoring, hyperbilirubinemia phototherapy, andIV therapyas well as pediatric medical- surgical patients age birth to 6 yearsold andpostoperative open-heart surgery patients. The Clinical Assistantassists in performing nursing care duties and procedures asassigned. Performs clerical duties, as assigned.
