The Hawaii Sports and Balance Center Mission:
At Hawaii Sports and Balance Center, our goal is to help the people of Kauai recover from pain and disability, in order to return to active lifestyles that they enjoy. We believe that the optimum environment for recovery can be achieved by combining technology with a "hands-on" approach. We are committed to maintaining the quality of care we provide by supporting ongoing professional education and developing specialty programs within the clinic, such as our Back Pain Clinic, Aquatic Physical Therapy , and Vestibular Rehab .

Patient Population:
Kauai, called the Garden Isle, is a well known tourist destination for outdoor recreation such as hiking, hunting, and golfing as well as water sports activities such as diving, fishing, surfing, kayaking, and water skiing. Hence, a good portion of our patients present with orthopedic problems resulting from some sort of physical activity, ranging from competitive community based sports, "weekend warrior" types, to labor/work related activity. The natural beauty of the island and community atmosphere also make Kauai a great place to retire and raise children. Thus, the other portion of our patient population reflects these characteristics, and present with mobility disorders due to neurological and age-related dysfunction.
