Becanex (Berlin Cannabis Extraction) was founded in September 2018 after many years of research and is the first (and currently the only) German company with its own extraction facility specializing in the extraction of cannabinoids and terpenes from cannabis and hemp.
With our very innovative and worldwide unique extraction process, we are revolutionizing cannabis therapy. Our extracts enable the absorption of all important herbal substances without having to smoke cannabis. Doctors, health insurers and patients alike are given an alternative to conventional therapy that is gentler, easier to dose and easier to control. This is a milestone in the cannabis industry and significantly helps to increase the acceptance of the therapy.
We produce our products for patients in Germany, Europe and from other countries worldwide. Becanex operates from Berlin Adlershof and currently have 10 employees. Responsibilities:
You take on all activities related to the GMP-compliant production and storage of raw materials, packaging materials, intermediates and finished products. You work according to our operating instructions.
Tasks in detail:
· Set-up and manage pre-treatment steps of raw materials, i.e. grinding, heat treatment and dehydration of medical cannabis flowers,
· Operate extraction system (own designed and highly automated) to obtain medical cannabis extracts,
· Perform all manufacturing operations from weighing of the raw materials to posttreatments of intermediates, to sampling for QC purposes,
· Conduct post-operative cleaning of equipment and working spaces,
· Document each manufacturing and cleaning activity accordingly with GMP-documentation requirements,
· Execute all unit operations and other tasks accordingly with SOPs and keep updated training status of relevant SOPs,
· Take part in the relevant trouble shooting and development activities,
· Plan and manage maintenance of the equipment proactively,
· Support incoming goods, storage and distribution activities.
What you bring with:
· Ideally, you have completed training/study as a plant or machine operator, chemical technician, pharmaceutical technician, CTA, PTA or a comparable,
· You have at least 2-3 years of experience in food or pharmaceutical production,
· Good command of German or English language,
· Independent and accurate way of working,
· Hygiene awareness and physical resilience,
· Willingness to work at shifts,
· Flexible and keen on taking responsibilities,
· Above all: a team player with whom we enjoy working together.
