Location: ‘Aiea, Hawaii

Description: American Medical Response is at present looking to employ Education Assistant right now, this occupation will be placed in Hawaii. Education Administrative Assistant to the Educational Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Answer all i! ncoming phone calls. Assist callers and direct calls to the appropriate person. If it is a Training call answer questions regarding classes, such as First Aid, Heartsaver Cardiovascular Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Healthcare Provider, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic EKG, Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Preshospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) and Advanced Medical Life Support (AMLS) Courses.

Schedule all AMR classes. Ensure all students are enrolled, confirmed, payment received, and prerequisites and course manuals distributed prior to the class start dates. Ensure all students attending designated AMR classes receive a certificate upon completion of training.

Invoice customers using the database Passport OneSource system. Inputs appropriate client information, credit card number, and charges customer accordingly, for training class, books, certification cards, and equipment. Monitor and trac! k expenditures.

Review course materials received from! Training Centers check for accuracy and process completion cards. Assure proper payments are made.

Interact with customers, external and internal to the organization. Respond in a timely manner; actively listen, creates and supports an environment where others feel comfortable asking questions. Presents medical, procedural, or technical terms in easily understood terms. Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing as appropriate

Order and keep inventory of training books, mouthpieces, pocket masks, certification cards, airway lungs, etc. Materials are reordered when inventory is at ¾ levels.

File CME records for crewmembers. File incoming and outgoing correspondence. Monitor, and track correspondence until completion. Ensure actions are completed in a timely manner.

Assist the Administrative Manager in giving the EMT / MICT written exam for applicant and collecting all credentials and certifications prior to acceptance of posit! ion.

Other assigned duties as designated by Management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 18 years of age. At one year of prior work experience with phone and customer service duties. Must type 45 wpm. Prior knowledge of EMS Field and experience preferred. Knowledge of AHA and/or NAEMT programs preferred. Ability to multitask. Effective written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
