Cardiovascular non-invasive technologists operate equipment that focuses directly on the heart and collects reflected sound waves that form an image of the heart. Physician! s use the images collected by cardiovascular technologists to diagnose various heart conditions.
Job Requirements
Two years experience as Echo Tech. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Current BLS/HCP card. Must be experienced in adult transthoracic echo, stress echo, pharmacologic echo, TEE (assist), and preferably pediatric echocardiography.
